Except for artwork and photographs prepared by caring professionals like us, there is nothing more important than great literature. Trouble is, there's no time to read. Any honest person will agree. So we came up with the idea of the "One Minute Novel." We believe what the world needs is literature that can be read between phone calls and TV commercials. Distinguished and important works that will someday be required reading for high school students everywhere.

If you think you have it in you. If you believe you're up to the task of writing the classical literature of the future, now is the time to act. Write your story. Fill it with heart and soul and characters and maybe even punctuation if it's called for.

Just do it quick. Tell the story and get out. Write it. Sign it with the name you want us to credit it to. And send it to features@do-you.tv with the subject line One Minute Novel.

Let's be clear on this. Nobody will be paid for this. Like great artists throughout history, one minute novelists are doomed to labor in obscurity and privation. But don't let that stop you. There is an entire history of future sadness and regret to be created here.
